By purchasing alcohol from us, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older, as required by UK law. We reserve the right to request age verification upon delivery.
3. Orders and Acceptance
All orders placed through our website are subject to acceptance by Abingworth Vineyard. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including product availability, errors in pricing, or suspicion of fraudulent activity.
4. Shipping and Delivery
- - Orders are typically dispatched within 1-2 business days of order confirmation.
- - Delivery times generally take 3-5 business days from dispatch, depending on your location and courier services.
- - While we strive to meet these timeframes, delays can occasionally occur due to factors beyond our control (e.g., weather, courier issues).
- - We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers.
5. Refunds, Returns and Exchange Policy
We hope you’re delighted with your purchase. If something isn’t quite right, please review the relevant section below, as different rules apply to alcohol products and merchandise.
Alcohol Products (Wine & Alcoholic Beverages)
Due to UK alcohol licensing laws, we can only accept returns of alcohol products in the following circumstances:
We Accept Returns If:
- - The product is damaged, faulty, or flawed
- - The product is not as described.
Differences in personal taste or preference are not considered grounds for return.

Damaged or Faulty Alcohol Items

- - Include your order number and clear photographs of the issue
- - We may require photographic evidence and, in some cases, return of the item for inspection before a refund or replacement is approved.
- - If approved, we will offer an exchange or a full refund
- - Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of approval.

Returned to Sender (Alcohol & Merchandise)
- If a parcel is returned to us due to:
- - Incorrect or incomplete address
- - Missed delivery attempts
- - Failure to collect
- - Refusal of delivery

- We will contact you once the item is received back at our warehouse.

- - Re-shipping: We can resend the parcel; you may be responsible for additional shipping fees
- - Refunds: We can refund the product cost excluding original shipping fees, provided items are returned in a re-sellable condition
- - Perishable or time-sensitive items may not be eligible for refund.

Merchandise Returns (Clothing, Accessories & Non-Alcohol Items)
- For the purposes of this policy, “Merchandise” refers to all non-alcohol items sold on this website, including clothing, accessories, and branded goods.

- - Items are unused, unworn, and in original condition
- - All original tags and packaging are intact

How to Make a Return (Merchandise Only)

- 2. We will confirm return instructions and the return address
- 3. Once received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 7 working days.
Refunds (Merchandise)
- - Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- - Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless the item is faulty
- - Customers are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty.

- We recommend using a tracked or recorded delivery service and retaining proof of postage, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

Exchanges (Merchandise)

- Items purchased during sales or promotions are non-refundable, unless faulty.

Click & Collect
- Items collected from the vineyard are subject to the same returns policy. Proof of purchase is required.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer protection laws.

Payments are securely processed via trusted third-party providers. We do not store your payment details on our servers.
7. Liability
Abingworth Vineyard is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products or services.
