General & Visit

Office Opening Hours

Our typical office business hours are 9am -5pm, during which time cellar door purchases can be made and ‘Click and Collect’ orders can be collected.

How can I find you?

We’re located in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, just outside the village of Thakeham. Please note: some sat nav’s using our postcode may direct you to an industrial estate nearby. If this happens, don’t worry—simply continue along Storrington Road until you see the sign for Abingworth Hall Hotel. The entrance to the vineyard is directly opposite the hotel, just past the gate house—follow the drive all the way down to reach us.

By car: We are easily accessible by road, and there is limited parking on site.

By train: The nearest train stations are Pulborough and Billingshurst, both just a short taxi ride away. (approx. 12 mins for each). If you need further directions or assistance, feel free to get in touch.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, we currently have limited parking available on site and will be expanding parking in future.

How accessible is the vineyard?

If anyone in your group has specific access or mobility requirements, please let us know in advance so we can make sure your visit is as comfortable as possible. We offer step-free access throughout the vineyard, winery, and bathrooms.

Are children allowed on site?

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Are pets allowed on site?

Dogs are unfortunately at present not permitted on the site, apart from assistance or guide dogs.

Tours & Tastings

Are you open for tours and tastings?

We are not currently open for tours and tastings but are working to be able to welcome visitors to our beautiful site in future. Please do check our events page to see if there are any ad hoc events coming up.

Orders & Deliveries

When will my order arrive?

Please allow 3-5 business days for you order to arrive. Contact support@abingworthvineyard.com if you have not received your order in this timeframe.

How can I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link or consignment number. To track your parcel:

  1. 1. Visit the APC tracking page
  2. 2. Enter your consignment number and delivery postcode
  3. 3. You’ll be able to see real-time updates, including when your parcel is out for delivery.

If tracking hasn’t updated within 24–48 hours, or if you notice a delivery issue, you can contact APC directly or reach out to us for support. If your questions haven’t been answered please contact support@abingworthvineyard.com

Can I cancel or amend my order?

If you contact us before your order has been dispatched within a 24-hour period of placing your order at support@abingworthvineyard.com, we can assist with amending the details of your order or cancelling it and issuing a full refund, allowing you to place a new order.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

We currently only ship to the UK.

Do you personalise gift messages?

Yes, you can add a gift message during the online checkout or please contact support@abingworthvineyard.com to request gift messages.

Do you offer ‘Click & Collect’?

We offer a ‘Click & Collect’ service for online orders. Simply select this option at checkout and we’ll send a confirmation once your order is ready to collect from our office.

Can I buy online if I am under 18?

In accordance with UK law, the Abingworth Vineyard website and online shop are only available to those aged 18 and over.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes, our shipping boxes are made from recycled cardboard and are fully reusable and recyclable. For further details on how to recycle our products, please visit our product pages.

Returns & Refunds

What is our refund and returns policy?

At Abingworth Vineyard, we take pride in the quality of our products and want you to be happy with your purchase. We understand that sometimes things don’t go as expected.

Can I return merchandise?

Yes. Merchandise items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if they are unused, unworn, and in their original condition, with tags and packaging intact.

Can I return wine?

Due to licensing and food safety regulations, we cannot accept returns on wine, unless bottles are faulty or damaged on arrival.

What if my order is damaged or faulty on arrival?

In the unlikely event your wine or merchandise arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@abingworthvineyard.com, with your order number and photographs. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund, including return postage where applicable.  

How do I start a return?

Simply email us at support@abingworthvineyard.com with your order number and reason for return. We’ll confirm the next steps.

Do I have to pay for return postage?

Return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or damaged.

How long do refunds take?

Once your return has been received and checked, refunds will be processed within 7 working days to the original payment method.

Can I exchange an item?

Yes, exchanges (for example, different sizes) are subject to availability. Please contact us and we’ll be happy to help at support@abingworthvineyard.com.

Are sale items refundable?

Items purchased during sales or promotions are non-refundable, unless faulty.

Does Click & Collect follow the same policy?

Yes. Click & Collect orders are subject to the same returns policy. Proof of purchase is required.

Christmas returns

Orders placed between 1 December and 24 December may be returned up to 14 days after Christmas Day, provided they meet the conditions above.

Product Information & Care

How should I store my wine?

For long term storage, wines should be kept at a cool and constant temperature, away from heat and bright light. Wine sealed with a cork should be stored on its side to keep the cork moist.
